Tungsten Carbide Nickel Powder WC-Ni
Tungsten Carbide Nickel (typical type WC-10Ni) is a cemented carbide (hardmetal) composite powder consisting of tungsten carbide (WC) particles bonded with nickel (Ni) matrix. It offers a balance of high hardness (1200-1800 HV) due to tungsten carbide phase and toughness due to nickel matrix.
WC-Ni It is an alternative to traditional WC-Co (cobalt-bonded) carbides in certain applications, especially where corrosion resistance or biocompatibility is critical due to its excellent corrosion resistance in acidic or alkaline environments than WC-Co.
WC-Ni is useful in electronic applications due to its non-magnetic property (unlike WC-Co).
Tungsten Carbide Nickel Powder is commonly used in cutting tools & inserts, wear-resistant coatings, 3D printing (Binder jetting or laser based methods).
Our WC-Ni powders are prepared by Sintering & Crushing with irregular shape or Agglomeration Sintering technology with spheridal shape or near-spherical particles with good flowability.
Spraying dense coating by WC-Ni can reach maximum service temperature up to 500℃ which is better selection in oilfield equipment (harsh corrosion performance requirements), the petrochemical industry, ball valves, offshore equipment, parts, etc.
We can customize various particle size for WC-Ni powder, including 5-30, 15-45, 45-105um, please let us know your request.
Reference from TRUER report No. P202007180540 : Coating hardness was tested in 930-1180 HV0.3, bonding strength >65MPa for PSD 15-45um with powder feed rate 70-110g/min and spraying distance 300-400mm.
