Tungsten Carbide Cobalt Powder WC-Co

Tungsten Carbide Cobalt (typecal type WC-12Co) is a fine, high-purity refractory alloy powder composed of tungsten, carbon, and cobalt atoms in the form of microparticles. WC-12Co is a high-performance material made up of micro-sized tungsten carbide particles dispersed within a cobalt matrix. WC alone offers impressive hardness and wear resistance which can be somewhat brittle. The addition of cobalt improves the material properties by binding the WC particles together with superior hardness and wear resistance and minimum brittleness.

Tungsten Carbide Cobalt Powder is commonly used in the production of cutting and machining, mining and drilling tools, such as inserts, drills, end mills, and saw blades. Its high hardness and wear resistance make it ideal for use in these applications, where the tools need to withstand high temperatures, abrasion, and impact. Tungsten Carbide Cobalt Powder is also utilized in aerospace and defense industries, such as turbine blades, armor-piercing projectiles, and parts for rocket engines. various industries.

WC-12Co powders in spray area are most commonly applied using HVOF or atmospheric plasma spray to produce very dense, well-bonded coatings. These coatings provide excellent abrasive wear up to 500°C. The materials contain fine-grained carbides for resistance against abrasive grains, hard surfaces, particle erosion and fretting wear mechanisms. Compared to coatings of WC-17Co, the reduced matrix content leads to coatings that are less ductile with higher hardness and better wear resistant.

Our WC-12Co powders are prepared by Sintering & Crushing or Agglomeration Sintering technology. WC-12Co powders produced by Sintering & Crushing technology have angular /blocky shape which is suitable for HVOF or atmospheric plasma spray.

For better deposition efficiency, it is recommended to choose agglomerated and sintered tungsten carbide cobalt powder WC-12Co with spherical shape. We offer agglomerated and sintered WC-12Co in a variety of particle size distributions that are optimized for different spray processes and spray guns.

We can customize various particle size for WC-12Co powder, including 5-30, 15-45, 45-105um, please let us know your request.

Spherical vs Irregular Metal Powders

Spherical vs Irregular Metal Powders: What You Need to Know? I often see buyers choose metal powder by price first. Later, they face poor flow, low density, or failed builds. I made the same mistake early on. Powder shape looks simple, but it decides everything downstream. Spherical and irregular metal

Water Atomised Iron & Prealloy Steel Powder

Water Atomised Iron & Prealloy Steel Powder Water atomised iron powder involves melting iron and dispersing it into fine droplets using high-pressure jets of water (water atomization). Then these droplets solidify into powder particles. Water atomization produces irregularly shaped particles because water has higher viscosity and impact force compared to

Sponge Iron Powder

Sponge Iron Powder Sponge iron powder is a form of iron characterized by a porous, sponge-like structure, produced via the direct reduction process. This method reduces iron ore using reducing gases like carbon monoxide and hydrogen at temperatures below iron’s melting point (800-1200℃), then reduction products crushed into powders. Truer
