TRUER SPHERE - N0004 – CMSX-4
Nickel Alloy CMSX-4 powder –CMSX-4 is single-crystal nickel-base superalloy with super high strength and high temperature resistance in hostile environment due to the presence of the secondary precipitate phases to lock the associated dislocation movements. Hence, there is a great commercial interest in developing additive manufacturing, laser powder bed fusion (LPBF) or direct energy deposition (DED).
Its high susceptibility to cracking is a challenge for AM application. But electron beam-based AM succeed to fabricate samples from PREP CMSX-4 powder.
For additive manufacturing application, our common production process includes Gas (argon or nitrogen) Atomizing process (GA) & Plasma Rotating Electrode Process (PREP) with high spherical, high purity, high packing density, low porosity and excellent flowing properties. The particle size can be customized.
