Aluminium Alloy Powder
Aluminium alloy powder consists of aluminium alloyed with elements such as copper, magnesium, silicon, zinc or others for enhanced strength, corrosion resistance. Common examples including AlSi10Mg, 6061, 7075, 7050, AlSi12, 2024, 5052 and AlMgSc etc. AlSi10Mg, 6061, 2024 and 7075 are widely used in selective laser melting (SLM).
In addition, pure Aluminium powder is out hot sales which can be used in pyrotechnics, paints or coatings as a pigment or for corrosion protection.
The powder’s particle size, shape, and distribution are probably important for the application. The powder with better sphericity can flow better for 3D printing. Another application of Al alloy powders are soldering or brazing areas whose details are involved in the the section of brazing powders.
The production method of our Al alloy powders is gas atomization, including nitrogen gas atomization and vacuum gas atomization. For some applications which have specially requirements for sphericity, statellite or hollow powder, we will take Plasma Rotating Electrode Process (PREP) to produce Al alloy powders to meet customers’ needs.
